If you pick up that CD let me know what you think. It will grow on you and if you end up liking that on you need to get his CD Cannons, it is really good as well. These are currently my two favorite albums. I play one of these at least every day.

To be known & loved that completely is everyone's deepest desire I think. We so often hold back & never really let go totally, at least I don't. I isolate myself, I become the biggest stumbling block in my relationships with those I should be closest to, trying not to let anyone in too far so they don't have the ability to scar. A friend just recently told me that I need to stop thinking that everyone I love will abandon me...kind of took me aback, but she cut right down to the heart of the real issue. There is none of that with our Heavenly Father. He embraces all of who we are, amazing because I don't think any of us are ever capable of doing that...

amen, Amen, AMEN to that, Greg! September happened too fast to even be a blur (in my mind it is still July and you haven't left yet) - and I had such good intentions...once school started I thought I would have sooo much time to take care of our home & family....not the case. HOWEVER....there is a new saying between me and my very good friend...it is: "I have no business being here/doing that" (we say that while laughing as hard as we can) as our plans are all laid out in our minds and we cannot possibly fit one more thing in, however God places people and/or things in our paths that cannot and should not be ignored. My priorities of getting the house 'organized' or running errands to get things accomplished seem so important, but what is truly important are the people and relationships we have a chance to enjoy & nurture ~ and that is my excuse for not yet being as organized as thought I should be Actually, thinking back, the same thing happened the last school year and summer.....but I do have some great memories....
One key point to remember - sleep is over-rated ~

All I can think, is oh, baby... Sounds like a struggle not unlike the previous September. Stay on your knees. Don't forget to look up every once and a while. Let people in, just a little;) Take some time to be STILL. Just breathe deeply. Love you. Talk to you later, when I'm back home & recovered from jet lag...

Good thoughts from all of you.

"I AM" also know at Yahwah or Jehovah. This is the proper name for God. I think you are right on track when you see that this names means God can be whatever He needs to be or wants to be. He just is. Another meaning of the name can be, "I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE". God is telling Moses that God is all powerful and will always be able to accomplish good for this followers.

This power is what scared the priests so they tied a rope around themselves just in case something went wrong in the Holy of Holies. They wanted to be able to be pulled out of there in case they died while in the presence of God. You can tell from the reading that the priests had a very different relationship with God then we do. That way prior to Jesus and the connection Jesus has made for us to God. Now things are different.

I am looking forward to the retreat on Oct 18 it will be fun to talk about this more.

Something I learned this week is the Christ is not Jesus's last name. It is actualy a word that means messiah.
Tyler- Yes I also find it interesting that God is always there and always will be there and that He is always everywhere. It is hard to imagine he can be all over there world (everywhere) at the same time. That's good though because we know He is always looking out for us. What is "thinkfulness""? I have never heard of that word before.

The most interesting things I've learned is how God is always defending us and all His creations and also why he is called "I am". When God is defending us, he is defending against both physical and spiritual dangers. When I learned that God wants to be called "I am" and why I thought it was especially interesting. He calls himself I am because whenever it is, God is always there. God is everywhere in time and space. He also was and will be. It is another way of saying that God is eternal or from everlasting to everlasting.

During my studies, I have wondered about "thinkfulness" and what is so special about it?

Katya - I think it's funny how they put a rope around the priest to pull him out. It's funny how they thought God would maybe get angry since God is love.

An interesting thing that I have learned is that God is always there and always will be there. There is no end of time without God. God has always been there so there was no start to time... without God.

A question that I had is what form God takes. Is he man like he created Adam or is he no gender and the Bible uses 'Father' to show how he protects us? Just curious what others think.
