New CD to recommend

Posted in Song at 1:38 am by Administrator

It has been a while since I wrote on the blog. It is not that I have not had thoughts, but I have not taken the time to write them down. I am not really sure where November and December went. Those two months were so full of activities that they days flew by. Wow.

In November I came across a new CD by an up and coming Christian singer. His name is Phil Wickham. He released his third CD late last year and it is a great. (At least I think so) The CD entitled Heaven and Earth has a really grat message. Two powerful song, Eden and Safe are deeply moving. I would recommend this CD to anyone who wants uplifting melodies with deeply thoughtful lyrics. If happen to come across the CD and make a purchase, let me know what you think.

Monday, May 11–In the Hands of God

Posted in Song at 5:53 am by Administrator

Week two in Hong Kong, I am far from my kids and miss them. I am knee deep in transition decisions. I am watching my to-do list grow with each meeting and conversation. WOW.

Then on the radio, streaming live from US, I hear a Newsboys song, “In the Hands of God”. What a great song. Some of the lyrics state that “in the hands of God, we stand tall”. That is so true.

As I reflect on all that lies ahead I can easily feel very small and very overwhelmed. However, when I am in the hands of God, I stand tall. This is not because of my strength, but because I am protected by the creator of the universe. In His hands, I am protected, supported, valued, watched over. That is the place to be.

I know I am not the only person feeling overwhelmed at this moment in life. Life is challenging right now, for so many reasons. However, in God’s hands, there is peace.

If you are feeling as if life is getting bigger than you, then I urge you get into the hands of God through prayer, reading His Word, and worshiping Him in church. It is there you will realize you are in His hands and then you will know how tall you stand when you stand in His hand.

Blessings,

Greg
