Talk about mood swings Jeremiah 20:12-14
These verses in Jeremiah give me great comfort, in an odd way.
“O Lord Almighty, you who examine the righteous and probe the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you I have committed my cause.
Sing to the Lord! Give praise to the Lord! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked.
Cursed be the day I was born! May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
Jeremiah cries out for vengeance, then praises the Lord, then curses the day he was born, all within three verses. Have you had days like that? You feel one way one moment, then another, then another, back and forth and back and forth.
I know I have been there. Changing as quickly as Jeremiah in these verses. And the Lord just listens.
Ears open, heart open, arms open, the Lord just listens to our rantings know that he will never leave us nor forsake us. He waits for us to “come to our senses” and then helps us move on.
I am so thankful to have a God who loves me on my good days and bad days. In my moments of victory and defeat. A love that is all encompassing.
Praise God.

Good reminder of how unchanging & unconditional our Lord & his love is:) Just like the Lord to embrace us even when we are most challeging to love. I always say that children need the most love when they are the most unlovable or unpleasant to be around; that applies to all of us! Who else is like our God?!
